Braemore Road Stormwater Improvement

The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility appreciates all the residents who spoke with us about a proposed stormwater infrastructure improvement project in the area near Braemore Road at the public meeting April 15.

This proposed project would alleviate known stormwater drainage issues near Braemore Road and Highland Drive with additional inlets and pipes.

An additional proposal would include rehabilitation of existing stormwater infrastructure on Fairview Road. The project may incorporate stormwater management features such as swales and underdrains. The Utility is also considering a curb bumpout on Summit Road that would improve capacity of the nearby stormwater inlet but would narrow the width of Summit Road.
