Treat Ash St. as a hybrid between a major collector and a neighborhood collector. Incorporate neighborhood ideas, save yards and trees.

The staff and consultants at the last public mtg didn't seem interested in ideas for intersection safety and traffic calming. They seem to think the only options are an 8ft/5ft sidewalk, 5ft sidewalk on both sides, or nothing. I don't think that is the mandate they received from city council. Intersections and crosswalks should be very visable with paint and signage, and corner bump-outs. Yards and trees should be preserved. Complete sidewalk in good repair on at least on one side of the street. Sidewalks can be mindfully shared by walkers, wheelchairs and children biking. They should be 4ft if there isn't space to be 5ft, and they can jog around utility poles etc like on Leslie Ln. Continuous bike lanes on both sides, even if they are narrower than the standard. Make bike lanes visible with green paint, bollards etc. Eliminate parking in the bike lane! Everything can't be ideal, but make the best of this old, narrow, residential street that is also an artery for the neighborhood and city.

South side move curb out into bike lane 200 300 400 500 and save trees and yards.

Also if you are going to put an 8ft wide sidewalk on the south side no green space is needed for safety. Remember 8 ft is like a driveway. This will save the 3 cherry trees on the 800 block

Chris Topinka & I (near corner Anderson+Ash) are against cutting trees, widening the road/sidewalks, cutting yards on Ash.

Make it a 4-way stop at Anderson and Ash. Do more at each intersection, e.g., flashing lights, painted crossing markings, to denote cross walks to slow traffic. Slow traffic, not increase it, to make it safer for all.

Keep trees and make cars slow down, stop at 4 way Ash/W.Blvd.

Cars have driven through my fence x3 and hit everyone's homes on the 4 way @Ash/W.Blvd. I have seen people fly into the air after being hit. Someone is going to get killled. Put up a camera and watch, cars regularly blow thru @ 50 mph or more, drag racing, etc...School children cross there. Please do something about traffic. This is a family neighborhood.

Slow cars by improving traffic calming rather than removing bikes from the traffic lane

Creating more impermeable areas in a place already having too much run off serves no ones basement. I understand the desire to remove bikes from the traffic lane, but that doesn't address the problem of vehicles always being put first so they can take up more space and go faster with less blocking of their line of sight. I would hate to see more impermeable surfaces and less older shade providing trees in my neighborhood before addressing any kind of traffic calming. More spaces for people to exist and less places that put cars first please.
