Why so much new parking for Orr Street Park?
Overall the park development is exciting, but I'm not sure why so much square footage is being dedicated to creation of new parking. My family attends Rose concerts, First Fridays, etc and there is plenty of existing parking capacity in the neighborhood.

Fill that lawn with trees. People will still be able to see the stage. An open space will go unused the majority of the time.
A big square of grass isn't going to attract visitors. Please don't miss this opportunity to fill the area with trees. Trees won't inhibit a crowds from viewing the performance area, just look at the trees at Rose and Peace Park during Earth Day. There are a lot more people who hang out a Peace Park than on the big open lawns on the MU campus.

The Orr Park should include more interior trees and seating options. Activities/events at the park should be small and have low impact.

For years, artists and stake holders have encouraged a green space for the area which this plan promotes.
The park could occasionally host events for the arts and at the same time respect the neighbors around it. Perhaps creating events designed for a few hundred people and requiring that the park be left in the same green condition as it was before the event. The opportunity exists for an urban trail to connect from the Short street garage through the east edge of the park and travel north to connect other parts of the downtown area. The North Village Arts District is a real asset to our community and the park is an important part of its development.
