City of Columbia Community Development FY 2024 Needs Survey
The City of Columbia expects to receive approximately $1,600,000 for fiscal year 2024 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for projects to provide decent housing and a suitable living environment, and for expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.

Definitions:
Affordable Housing: The cost of housing (rent/mortgage plus utilities) totals 30% or less of a household's gross income.
Low to Moderate Income Area: A census tract in which at least 50% of households have an income less than 60% of the Area Median Gross Income.
