Consultation has concluded

Exterior improvements are planned at the Blind Boone Home. These may include roof repair or replacement (discussing multiple options), replacing the rotting architectural railing and banisters, and painting trim and shutters.

The historic Blind Boone Home is significant as the home of John William "Blind" Boone, one of America's greatest musicians and a symbol in Columbia of African-American achievement at the turn of the 20th century. His home is open for visits and events, and is maintained in part by the City of Columbia.

A public input meeting is scheduled at the home on 10 N. 4th St., Sept. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. Additional comments or questions can be made below.
