CAAP Update – Public Comment Open

The City’s Office of Sustainability and Cascadia Consulting have released the Public Comment Draft of the first 5-year update to the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). Originally adopted in 2019, the CAAP outlines strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move our community toward a more sustainable future.

The draft keeps the original 2019 goals and structure but updates the priority actions for the next five years based on input from local, state, and national stakeholders.

We’re looking for feedback on:
• Anything that’s unclear or confusing
• Placement of actions (5-year, ongoing, or long-term)
• Actions that may not belong on the 5-year list
• Any other major concerns or suggestions

Public comments will be open till April 12th, 2026.
