At the Nov. 18 meeting, the Columbia City Council set December 16 for a public hearing discuss the proposed stormwater management project in the Capri Estates neighborhood.
The project scope has expanded since the first interested parties meeting held in June 2022 to include work on the east side of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2707 Smiley Lane. Maps of the original plan and the updated project area are included on the right side of this page.
The Stormwater Utility is designing a stormwater system to manage runoff from Riviera Drive to the east side of Eldorado Court, reducing the risk of flooding in the neighborhood. The project will extend the storm drain system on the west side of Langham Drive to reduce yard flooding and make the entrance to the system safer, along with some practices to reduce runoff.
