The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house meeting regarding the Columbia Gorge Parkway sidewalk project. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Cedar Ridge Elementary School, 2345 Howell Mountain Drive.

The purpose of this meeting is to present design concepts for the Columbia Gorge Parkway sidewalk project which includes the following improvements:

  • Construction of a sidewalk along the south side of Columbia Gorge Parkway and the west side of Pride Mountain Drive between 5108 Columbia Gorge Parkway and 2203 Pride Mountain Drive
  • Installation of a pedestrian crosswalk across Pride Mountain Drive at Columbia Gorge Parkway
  • Construction of a pedestrian curb ramp to accommodate a future crosswalk across Columbia Gorge Parkway at Pride Mountain Drive

Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in fall 2025.

At the meeting, information and diagrams showing the design concept will be available for public review and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions. A public comment form will be available at the meeting. Public comments can also be left below.

Plans are also available in the Documents section of this website. Comments will be accepted through June 11, 2025.
