Consultation has concluded

Columbia Parks and Recreation is seeking public input on the construction of a new Community Welcome Center at Clary-Shy Community Park, 1701 W. Ash. The Community Welcome Center will feature a commercial kitchen, resource library, activity room and offices.

A public hearing for this project was held Thursday, March 21st, at 7 p.m. at the ARC Meeting Room, 1701 W. Ash, during the monthly meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The project is funded through three sources:

  • $3,519,932 Missouri Development Finance Board
  • $1,500,000 Boone County's State and Local Fiscal Recovering Fund ARPA allocation
  • $250,000 Park Sales Tax
