At the pre-Council meeting, the Solid Waste Utility will present an updated report from RRT, a City consultant, regarding options for rebuilding and refurbishing the Material Recover Facility.

The City Council and the Solid Waste Utility will discuss the improvement options presented in the report and determine next steps.

RRT, a consultant for the City of Columbia, will make a presentation on the results of its evaluation into the City's recycling system.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 East Broadway.

Attendees can arrive any time between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Activities and Recreation Center, 1701 West Ash St.

The public will have the opportunity to learn about the recycling system, ask questions and engage with City staff and the consultant, submit comments and share their vision for the future of the service.
