The City of Columbia expects to receive approximately $1,470,000 for fiscal year 2026 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds will be used to provide decent housing, suitable living environments, and for expanding economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income persons. We are seeking input from residents to help determine the best use of these funds. Please complete the survey at the bottom of the page to share your priorities, You may also add any additional thoughts or questions for our staff. This survey is primarily for City of Columbia, Missouri residents and will remain open through March 31, 2025.

These are some definitions to note before completing the survey:
Affordable Housing: The cost of housing (rent/mortgage plus utilities) totals 30% or less of a household’s gross income.
Low to Moderate Income Area: A census tract in which at least 51% of households have an income less than 80% of the Area Median Gross Income.
