The City of Columbia expects to receive approximately $1.6 million for fiscal year 2024 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for projects to provide decent housing and a suitable living environment, and for expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
Columbia residents are invited to complete the following survey to help identify affordable housing and community development needs within the community.
The survey, which can be accessed at the bottom of this page is primarily for City of Columbia residents and will remain open through May 10, 2023.
The survey is optional and anonymous. You may whichever questions you prefer not to answer.

Key Terms:
Affordable Housing: The cost of housing (rent/mortgage plus utilities) totals 30% or less of a household's gross income.
Low to Moderate Income Area: A census tract in which at least 50% of households have an income less than 60% of the Area Median Gross Income.
