Columbia Parks and Recreation is seeking public input on improvements at Rainbow Softball Center at Columbia Cosmopolitan Recreation Area, 1615 Business Loop 70. Current plans would include the installation of LED lighting at three of the six ballfields, funded by the Park Sales Tax. The remaining three fields would also feature LED lighting, pending approval of a Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant. Future improvements at Rainbow would include renovated restrooms, concession area, improved shade, playground replacement and additional storage.

The public is invited to an interested party meeting to offer input for this project on Thursday, Nov. 21, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash

Parks and Recreation staff will be available with plans and will take comments and answer questions.

Members of the public may attend any open meeting. For requests for accommodations related to disability, please call 573.874.CITY (2489) or email City@CoMo.gov. In order to assist staff in making the appropriate arrangements for your accommodation, please make your request as far in advance of the posted meeting date as possible.
