Residential Rental Inspections

The City of Columbia’s Department of Housing & Neighborhood Services is seeking feedback on the City’s Rental Unit Conservation Law.

Currently, the City inspects most rental units every five years. There are more than 28,000 units that comply with City code requirements. City Council members have indicated interest in increasing the frequency of inspections for rental properties.
