Consultation has concluded
A public input meeting is scheduled on Thursday, Aug. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. to collect feedback on the proposed plan for the Stephens Lake Park southeast trailhead project. The open house meeting will be held at Riechmann Pavilion, 2300 E. Walnut St.
Proposed park plans will be displayed and planning staff will be available to answer questions. As funding allows, proposed plans include parking lot resurfacing and striping, parking lot expansion, LED lights, ADA improvements, a fenced storage area, construction of a small shelter and a single-stall restroom. Proposed amenities for the shelter include electric bicycle charging stations, a bicycle repair station and picnic tables.
Funding for the improvement project is as follows:
2021 Park Sales tax - $200,000
Frank W. Morris Trust – $135,000
