  • Whitegate Drive preliminary traffic calming plan - A potential traffic calming plan that would place a total of three speed humps on Whitegate Drive. These would be located at The Columbia Crossings Apartments outside 2303 Whitegate Drive, just east of Colonial Court at 2600 Whitegate Drive, and just south of Squire Court at 2700 Whitegate Drive.
  • Whitegate Drive speed humps - Shows the dimensions and locations of the three proposed speed humps and associated signage.

Whitegate Drive has been identified as a street with traffic operating at speeds that are higher than desirable. The City of Columbia Public Works department has scheduled a second informal open house meeting concerning a traffic calming project for this street from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in room 1A of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.

At the meeting, information and diagrams showing preliminary concepts will be made available for public review, and City engineering staff will make a short presentation and answer resident questions.

Comments will be accepted both online and at the meeting through June 10, 2026, and will be considered as the design is developed.

More information about the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, including the traffic calming handbook, can be found on the City's website at CoMo.gov/public-works/street-division/traffic-management/neighborhood-traffic-management/.
