The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility has resumed residential curbside recycling collection.

On alternating weeks, customers can put their mixed containers and mixed fibers curbside on their regular weekly scheduled refuse pickup day. The Blue and Green collection routes have not changed. Use this link to see which route serves your residence.

Even though residential curbside refuse collection has transitioned to automated collection, curbside recycling pickup will continue as manual collections. Customers should place mixed containers (aluminum cans, tin cans, and plastic) in blue bags. Mixed fibers (paper and cardboard) can be bundled in a box or a paper bag.

At this time, customers wishing to recycle glass items are asked to deposit those in the purple bins at the Recycling Drop-Off Centers.
