The City of Columbia Public Works department is planning to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Green Meadows Road and Bethel Street. The project will replace the existing four-way stop intersection with the goal of improving safety and traffic flow.
An interested parties meeting was held Thursday, Aug. 13. City engineering staff shared the proposed design and answered questions.
A public hearing is expected at an upcoming City Council meeting in fall 2026.
Construction is currently anticipated to begin in summer 2028.
Community input is an important part of the design process. Comments submitted by the public will be reviewed and considered as the roundabout design is developed.
